Role Model

Wow! You're a much more powerful magical girl than I am!
I'm going to work hard so I can some day be just like you!

Trust me. It's not worth it.

Pervert Momo II

 Hey!

What's wrong with you, little girl?

Rito's harem needs another big breasted blonde. You're perfect!

This guy is awesome in this reenactment.

This is a reenactment of me asking a lovely young lady out on a date. It didn't go as well as I had hoped.

This is a reenactment of me asking another lovely young lady out on a date. I saved both of us some time my macing myself immediately after opening my mouth.

Chain Jane vs. Streetbeat

My name shows up in the end credits as "Camera Operation".

Well, it took a while to be... well, finished as a deleted scene. At least it didn't just die like my own film projects. ^^;

This was filmed over two days, nonconsecutive. Day 1 had a far worse circumstances in the sense the sun + heat made the conditions grueling. While I did wear a cap, I got a bad case of sunburn on my neck and arms. I was molting for weeks. XD

Maybe about a month(?) later (long after I stopped molting), we gathered again to finish filming and I made sure to take some sunscreen with me. The sun wasn't as intense on the second day of filming but I'm glad I took sunscreen with me anyway. (I bought SPF 110.)

In the video, these lines are said:

<Chain Jane> What's the matter, Alex? Don't you have something funny to say?
<Streetbeat> Marry me.

I suggested a "screwball comedy" idea of showing Jane and Streetbeat getting married in a quick mock ceremony, Jane realizing what's going on at that moment and then punching the camera, but the circumstances of how much time we had to finish everything necessary prevented us from even attempting this at all.

Blast From the Past: Crackle Presents

Hey, I didn't have a post in 2013! XD

Years ago, the voice-over was something I was hired to do because the producer and director wanted "something cool in Japanese" while promoting the Crackle web site. Crackle subsequently died. I wondered what happened to the commercial and someone (I'm guessing the producer) actually uploaded it to Youtube.

Neither the producer nor director knew a lick of Japanese so my voice-over doesn't match what shows up in the subtitles at all.

Super Moon Fighter DX

In terms of e-peen, my name shows up at the 3:05 mark.

I was asked to provide the English language text for this game, though I didn't finish that portion before the game went live at the Japanese side of DL Site. Not that it mattered because even if I were done, I still would have needed to translate the instruction manual because that arrived immediately after the game launched. XD

As of this writing, I completed the text for most of the in-game characters (seven to be exact). I still have four more characters' worth of text, as well as the instruction manual to go. I hope to be finished with them before Christmas.

So far, about the only "exciting" event with my own involvement was finding a spelling error in the earlier builds of the game. (Sailor) Uranus was spelled "URANOS" everywhere her name appeared, so I informed my contact at Chinchilla Softhouse this error should be corrected. The correct spelling now appears in the current build.

I was not present for the green screen sections.

I had a conversation with Seishiro and he had a few interesting things to say about the current technical issues. I'll share the main one here.

The fight was shot on a standard definition camera. Unfortunately, despite having an MSRP of something like $2000 back in 2001 or 2002, the camera used for this fight really sucks for the purpose of green screening. The green bleeds into him during editing so he needs to edit by "cutting out" an outline around him, and then edit the remaining green out from himself pixel by pixel. He has to do this for every frame in which he takes a dive or a flip.

As an example, if he has 5 seconds worth of total footage he needs to edit out the green from with the method described above, at 30 frames per second, he needs to edit 150 images. That's a huge pain in the ass. He considered re-taking the shots of himself doing flips and falling down with an HD camera and then reducing the resolution of the footage to match the rest of the movie. He ultimately decided there's less work and physical pain involved if he edits the footage he already has instead.

I'll have a more detailed ramble about the two days we spent filming this fight when the finished movie is available for viewing.

I played cameraman for this as well.

I don't know when the full version will go up. I just received the link.

Unlike the previous movie, I will not appear in this video at all. I played cameraman, which is pretty much what I wanted. :)
